Real-time data will support ongoing NOAA/NWS operational ocean modeling during hurricanes, while post-storm analysis will improve our understanding of ocean mixing processes. This deployment is supported by funding from NOAA Award #NA19OAR0220189, and is coordinated between a partnership of IOOS, OAR, AOML, Navy, academic researchers, and private industry and PoF-IV of the Helmholtz Association, Germany.
