This glider deployed as a part of Gliderpalooza 2013, a coordinated effort by a consortium of university and industry partners, that aimed to combine data collected by gliders with information from satellites, moorings, and land-based, high-frequency radar to paint a detailed picture of ocean properties and currents along the continental shelf from Nova Scotia south to Georgia. This glider was also outfitted with a VEMCO mobile receiver unit (SN 1168373) to listen for VEMCO mobile transmitters attached to fish.
